I love fall. Great weather, football season, and welcome week! One of the things I love to do during this time of year is visit churches who take advantage of this important season during the school year. Churches have about 2 weeks to capture the attention of students or they may lose them.
There is not a one-size-fits-all approach to reaching a campus. We must contextualize, but I do believe there are some evergreen principles out there. One of the these principles I’ve seen in churches with significant spiritual impact on campus is that they don’t wait for college students to come to them; the church or ministry goes to them.
When students come back changed by the gospel through the experience of a mission trip, it’s attractive to those far from God.
